More about Christian Providence
Our Work
Christian Providence provides charitable support to eligible causes primarily in Australia, but also overseas, such as:
Christian Providence’s major focus has been to support the development of the International Chinese School, a K–6 coeducational Christian school on Sydney’s Lower North Shore.
Through the provision of a high quality bilingual education, the School equips students to be agents of transformation in a globalised society, grounded in a Christian worldview that affirms the value, dignity, and God given purpose of every individual.
Through its bilingual program, students develop strong linguistic competence in both English and Mandarin, together with intercultural understanding that prepares them to live and work effectively in an increasingly interconnected world.
The School offers a dual language program through a two way immersion model, with 50% of the curriculum delivered in Mandarin. This educational approach prepares students for a future in which the relationship between Australia and China will continue to grow in economic, political, and social significance.
The School pursues high levels of academic achievement in both English and Mandarin, together with the development of cross cultural competence, within a supportive and nurturing Christian learning community.
Christian Providence also supports the work of PASIFIKAID, an Australian Christian charity committed to empowering Pacific communities for national transformation through strategic educational, humanitarian, and community development initiatives.
Grounded in a Christian worldview, PASIFIKAID seeks to demonstrate the love of Christ through practical action, partnering with local churches, schools, and community leaders to deliver sustainable projects that strengthen vulnerable communities across the Pacific.
A major focus of PASIFIKAID’s work is improving educational opportunity and quality for children in disadvantaged and developing communities, particularly in Vanuatu. This includes supporting the construction and restoration of school facilities, provision of educational resources, teacher mentoring and professional development, and the establishment of demonstration schools designed to model excellence in Christian education and raise educational standards more broadly.
Through these initiatives, PASIFIKAID aims not merely to meet immediate needs, but to contribute to long term transformation by equipping local leaders, strengthening educational systems, and fostering resilient communities capable of sustainable growth and development for future generations.
Christian Providence has also provided support to King’s College, a primary and secondary Christian school in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo, operating under the Anglican Diocese of Katunga.
Established with a vision to provide high quality Christian education in a region facing significant social and economic challenges, the School has grown rapidly to serve more than 1,000 students in under ten years of operation.
Through its commitment to academic excellence, Christian discipleship, and holistic student development, King’s College has earned national recognition and is widely regarded as a leading school in its region. The School is helping to raise educational standards while providing students with the knowledge, character, and leadership capacity required to influence their communities positively.
By investing in the education of the next generation, King’s College is bringing transformation and hope to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, equipping young people to become future leaders who will contribute to the spiritual, social, and economic renewal of their nation.
Over the past 18 months, the Charity has provided significant support to accelerated New Testament Bible translation projects undertaken by Wycliffe Associates through their Pacific Coordinator, Philippe Pinero.
Wycliffe Associates is committed to translating Scripture into the mother tongue of indigenous communities worldwide through an accelerated model that equips native speaking local translators to translate Scripture into their heart language under the guidance and authority of the local church.
Translation projects supported by the Charity include the Ake and Erromango languages in Vanuatu, Kala Lagaw Ya in the Torres Strait Islands, Dumagat in the Philippines, and Aeta language in Bougainville, Papua New Guinea. Of these projects, three have completed the first draft of the New Testament, while the Torres Strait translation team has completed the four Gospels.
Other Projects
Ambassadors For Christ International (AFCI) Australia is dedicated to accelerating the spread of the Gospel through local churches across Australia.
Its mission is to equip believers, leaders, and congregations for evangelism, disciple-making, and multiplication. Through its proven EvangelismSHIFT program, AFCI partners with churches on a transformative two-year journey that helps build a culture of outreach and spiritual growth.
Many participating churches have seen significant increases in people coming to faith in Christ, moving from very few conversions to seeing 6-10% of their congregation place their faith in Jesus each year. AFCI continues to strengthen churches and leaders to effectively share the Gospel and make lasting disciples in their communities.
Christian Providence has supported City Bible Forum Australia, a Christian ministry dedicated to reaching workers in Australia’s cities with the message of Jesus.
Through workplace events, public forums, evangelistic resources, and small group Bible engagement, City Bible Forum helps Christians confidently live out and share their faith in professional environments. At the same time, it creates thoughtful opportunities for those exploring Christianity to engage with the claims of the Gospel in a respectful and accessible way.
Its ministry continues to have a significant impact across Australia, equipping believers for workplace witness and fostering meaningful conversations that lead people towards Christ and ongoing discipleship.
Christian Providence has supported the work of Prison Fellowship Australia, a Christian ministry committed to sharing the hope of the Gospel with prisoners, their families, and those affected by crime.
Through prison chaplaincy support, pastoral care, mentoring programs, and restorative justice initiatives, the organisation seeks to bring spiritual transformation, healing, and hope to individuals within the correctional system. Prison Fellowship also assists with rehabilitation and successful reintegration into the community, helping people rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose.
Its ministry continues to make a lasting difference by demonstrating Christ’s love, supporting vulnerable individuals, and encouraging positive change throughout Australian communities.
